Dear Bernard,

Peru was a very good trip. the land and the people are fantastic, we had no rain!!! Arequipa and Puno were great. Bus trip Puno-Cusco was very good, not only with the landsacpes we were able to see, but allowed us to rest. Hacienda Incatambo hotel was delightful, since we were the only guests. we were given a suite!! and the service was fantastic.

All in all, a fun trip. thanks for your help. We will recommend you to our friends.

sincerely.

Cheryl and Jim,
USA.

Hi Bernard,

Happy New Year! Envious you were in Cusco for the event...trust it was a great one!

The Peruvian trip was one of the most amazing trips we've done, and MP/Inca trail was unbelievable - highly recommended. I'm glad we did it, and am grateful for your help on this.

The stay in the Sacred Valley overnight was EXCELLENT - very worthwhile and recommended. It was great to be away from everyone & everything in such a beautiful surrounds.

Cheers,

Dear Costa Rica For Less

Sorry I haven't gotten back to your earlier.  The trip was excellent. Everything was very well organized, transfers/trips were always on time, hotels very good, trips interesing.  I should have probably spent one more day in Cusco , this is really beautiful city.

I'm glad I decided to take the train to Puno - somebody should tell Lonely Planet not to discourage travellers :) The Bolivian part was also good, La Paz looks very nice, it's very hard to believe that just 5 months ago they had all those riots in the city.

Anyway, thanks for organizing everything so well, I will definitelly recommend you guys if I have a chance.

Bogdan,

Hi Richard,

Phyllis and I had a wonderful vacation in Peru. It was fantastic. A truly beautiful country with great people. First of all, we were very impressed with the tour companies and how they met us at every hotel, bus station, train station and airport. It was one of those small things that allowed us to be totally relaxed and enjoy everything else. We truely appreciated the Peruvian people and how friendly they are. We had great meals, some at restaurants you recommended: Astrid y Gaston in Lima, and a couple in Cusco that I can't remember the names. Also, the hotels were all charming and well staffed. The tours were also very good. We enjoyed the Lima city tour, the tour out of Pisco (Ballestas Islands), and of course the Sacred Valley was beautiful. We tended to think that Sacsayhuaman was more interesting than Macchu Pichu because of the stone work, however, Macchu Pichu was spectacular in its' setting, especially after the crowds left. Ollantaytambo was also amazing. Your company did an excellent job and we certainly would ask you to plan our next South American trip in a few years. We have discussed a Buenos Aires to Patagonia to Santiago trip; maybe in 2008. Thank you again for a wonderful vacation.

Regards,

Bernard,

We had a great trip to Peru. Everything that you set up worked well. We had a little mountain sickness the first night in Cusco, but after that, we all felt fine. The Inca ruins at Machu Picchu were amazing. We were there the day they discovered the three skeletons in the gravesite. It was pretty astounding. The Picoaga Hotel is quite nice, has a good location and the people are quite friendly and accommodating. Dena was very nice. All the tours picked us up within the time that they said they would.

Wagner, the guide at Machu Picchu, was excellent. You should use him whenever possible. The el Pueblo hotel was quite fun. I was hoping that they would have a better swimming pool, but otherwise, the facility was very nice. There was an electrical blackout while we were there, but it was fun. The hotel brought out candles and kerosene lanterns and we just carried on.

When we got back to Lima, the people at Manhattan Inn sent us to Plaza San Migel. That is a very nice shopping area. All of our flights seemed to go OK.

I really enjoyed having lunch with you and friends. Glad to hear that your ankle is returning to normal.

Thanks for all your help with our trip. We will keep you in mind for future travel.

Bernard,

Thanks for following up. Peru is quite an extraordinary country. There are so many things to see and we only sampled the 2 among them, Inca trail & Manu. These were both awesome for me. The town of Cusco, the snow peaks of the Andes, the high rainforest, the mystical Inca ruins, the Peru people, the magical city of Machu Picchu, the ruggedness and beauty of the jungle all made for an unforgettable adventure. Some of the girls were a little overwhelmed by the insects in Manu, but c'est le vie.

By the way, the Inca trail tour and the Jungle Tour companies were good.

I will certainly be returning to Peru at some point. Possibly another Inca trail trek (with a stay in Sancturay Lodge for night viewing of Machu Picchu under a full moon), at least 2 days at the Peublo Hotel (really nice place, & Aguas Calientes is a unique town), Lake Titicaca, Galapagos, etc. I'm up for an Ayawaska journey in the jungle as well.

Bernard,

Well, we successfully finished the Inca Trail, though we do have some sore muscles. It was great. Wilfredo Surco, our guide, and his entire crew were the best. The explainations of the Trail, the ruins, Inca and Peru history were a real plus in understanding exactly what we were viewing and experiencing.

USA

Hi Bernard,

We're fine thanks. Peru was great - had a fantastic time and loved the Colca Canyon (thanks for the rec), Nazca and (of course) Macchu Picchu.

Shame we did not get to meet you.

Dhirendra ,
United Kingdom.
