A group of conservation students from Western Oregon University is heading to Costa Rica to help La Tortuga Feliz, an organization that protects sea turtles. The group consists of six students and two staff advisers. The visit is part of the university's Alternate Break program which sends volunteers around the globe to participate in activities pro environment and service learning projects. The group will monitor the beach of Tortuguero National Park and the harbor of Limón, where many species of sea turtles visit to lay their eggs.
